Making a Difference Awards

Making a Difference in Yorkshire and Humber Awards 2008

This year, Local Government Yorkshire and Humber will hold its Making a Difference Awards Ceremony at the Harrogate International Centre on 18 November 2008.

The Regional Awards celebrate the difference that local government, fire and police authorities across Yorkshire and Humber have made and provide an opportunity to highlight the success stories and the excellent work taking place.

The awards are open to all 22 councils, the four fire and rescue and the four police authorities in the region.

This year there are 11 award categories.

Over 100 entry forms have been submitted from councils, fire authorities and police authorities in the Region.  The judging took place on 1 October and everyone has been told whether or not they have been shortlisted.
